Abby Lee of the Charger women's basketball team was named the Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Athlete of the Week for her standout performances in the BCU Classic this past weekend.

Lee, a freshman from Sioux City, Iowa, posted back-to-back 20-point games to help the Chargers improve to a 3-0 start. She scored 22 points, grabbed six rebounds, and added two blocks against Saint Ambrose.Lee followed with 27 points, nine rebounds, a block, and a steal in the win over Grand View. She finished the weekend shooting an impressive 20-for-28 (71%) from the field and 4-for-7 from the three. 

Lee currently sits second in the conference in points per game and fourth in rebounds per game.

The Chargers return to action this Friday, heading to Atchison, Kansas, to take on Benedictine. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
