The No.9 Briar Cliff women's basketball team battled it out Tuesday night with the No.16 Dakota Wesleyan Tigers but fell short inside the Newman Flanagan Center.
Mallie McNair led the Chargers with 19 points, knocking down three threes while adding two assists and a steal.
Abby Lee followed with 14 points, including two triples, and also grabbed four rebounds and a block.
Taylor Sodeman added 13 points, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, while going 6-for-8 from the floor.
Brooklyn Heineman stuffed the stat sheet with six points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Rylee Rosenquist led the Tigers with 24 points, three assists, and a steal.
The Chargers shot 42.1% from beyond the arc and outscored the Tigers 19-12 in points off turnovers. BCU also held a 13-6 advantage in second-chance points and matched DWU with 10 bench points.
The Chargers move to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in GPAC play. They return to action on Wednesday, December 3, hosting the No. 1-ranked Dordt Defenders. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
