Mallie McNair of the Charger women's basketball team has been named the Week 3: GPAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week following a dominant two-game road stretch.
McNair, a senior from Imperial, Nebraska, powered the Chargers to two road victories with back-to-back standout performances. She opened the week at Peru State, posting 20 points, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals while shooting an efficient 8-for-12 from the floor.
She followed with one of her strongest outings of the season at College of Saint Mary, scoring a game-high 30 points on 12-for-18 shooting. McNair added six rebounds, five assists, and three steals in the win, knocking down a three-pointer and finishing 5-for-6 at the free throw line.
Across the two contests, McNair totaled 50 points and shot 20-for-30 (.667) from the field, averaging 25.5 points per game. She currently ranks fourth in the GPAC in scoring at 20.9 points per game.
The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, November 19, traveling to Forest City, Iowa, taking on Waldorf University. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
