The ninth-ranked Briar Cliff women's basketball team pushed its undefeated streak to nine straight on Saturday afternoon, rolling past the Doane Tigers 92-72 inside the Newman Flanagan Center.
 
The Chargers controlled the game from the opening tip, jumping out to a 20-8 first-quarter lead and maintained it for the rest of the game. Briar Cliff's defensive pressure was a major factor, forcing 22 turnovers and converting them into 31 points.
 
Mallie McNair delivered another standout performance, pouring in a game-high 29 points on 10-for-16 shooting, including 4-of-8 from deep. She added six rebounds, two steals, and went 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.
 
Abby Lee followed with 19 points and eight rebounds, while also chipping in 3 assists, two blocks, and a steal. Brooklyn Heineman added nine points, seven assists, two rebounds, and three steals.
 
Taylor Sodeman added 10 points and six rebounds, and Kenna Mongan knocked down three triples.
 
Doane was led by Emma Vander Plaats with 18 points
 
Briar Cliff now sits 3-0 in GPAC play and returns to action this Tuesday night, hosting Dakota Wesleyan at the Newman Flanagan Center. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
