The Briar Cliff men's basketball team kept its early-season momentum rolling with a 97-82 victory over York University Tuesday night inside the Newman Flanagan Center.

The Chargers jumped ahead early behind hot shooting and never trailed, taking a 43-37 halftime lead before outscoring the Panthers 54-45 in the second half.

Blake Sindelar and
Jaxson Wingert led a balanced BCU attack. Sindelar turned in another all-around performance, totaling 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and a steal, while Wingert powered his way to 27 points and eight rebounds, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.

Colby Collison added 12 points, including three triples, while
Wil Lugar registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Joshua Stevenson provided a spark off the bench, scoring 10 points off 5-of-6 shooting, and
Ryan Kleppe was efficient in his minutes, adding eight points and three boards.

Briar Cliff shot 52% from the field and 44% from the three-point range, while out-rebounding York 36-27 and scoring 40 points in the paint.Â

York was led by Jadin Johnson, who poured in 34 points for the Panthers.

The Chargers move to 3-2 this season and return to action Wednesday, November 19, for their first GPAC match-up, traveling to Forest City, IA, to take on the Waldorf Warriors. Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m.
