The Charger men's basketball team fell 58-81 to Huntington University Friday evening in Winona Lake, Indiana.
A late run by Huntington in the first half propelled them to a 12-point lead heading into the break.
Wil Lugar had a strong start, scoring 12 points while shooting four-for-five from the field in the first half.
Jaxson Wingert added six points with four coming from the free throw line.
Early in the second half the Chargers cut the lead within five following a layup from
Blake Sindelar and a three from
Joshua Stevenson.
Sindelar paced the Chargers with 17 points and went five-for-14 from the field. Stevenson off the bench chipped in 13 points while going six-for-eight from the field.
The Chargers move to 1-1 on the season and will return to action tomorrow, as they take on Grace in Huntington, Indiana. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. EDT.
