The Charger men's soccer team defeated the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers 1-0 on Faber Field Wednesday.
Xabier Ilundain played all 90 minutes at keeper, recording seven saves in the clean sheet.
The Tigers pushed the pace in the early goings of the contest, recording six shots but were all turned away by the Chargers.
Gabriel Hernandez Les looked to break the scoring tie in the 30
th minute, but his shot was turned away by the Tiger keeper.
In the 51
st minute,
David Sauter fired a shot, but it hit the cross bar. Off the rebound,
Alejandro Illan scored the deciding goal moments later.
Hernandez Les paced the Chargers with four shots while Sauter placed three. Both recorded two on target.
The Cliff move to 6-6-3 (3-3-2 GPAC) and will travel to Hastings, Nebraska to take on the Hastings Broncos. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
