A late goal doomed the Chargers in their 2-1 loss to the Flames of College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska Saturday afternoon.
The Flames' Bella Knudtson opened the scoring in the 10
th minute with a goal off an assist from Izzie Kadavy.
Ellen Lofsjogard tied the contest in the 66
th minute with a goal on an assist from
Ondine Manceau.
In the 69
th minute, the Chargers looked for a chance, but an offside was called.
The Flames scored the deciding goal in the 87
th minute to take the win.
Caitlin Anderholm recorded five saves for the Chargers.
Lucy Carter recorded two shots while
Farrah Thompson recorded one.
The Chargers move to 3-9-1 (1-4-1 GPAC) and will travel to Sioux Center, Iowa next Wednesday to take on Dordt. Kickoff is slated for 7:15 p.m.
