A slow start doomed the Charger men's basketball team, as they fell 109-77 against the 16
th ranked Northwestern Red Raiders in Orange City, Iowa Wednesday evening. The Red Raiders built a 58-33 lead heading into halftime.

The Charger's first basket of the contest came with 16:14 remaining in the first, as
Jaxson Wingert knocked down a three. Wingert led the team with 13 points and shot four-for-seven from the field and knocked down a pair of threes.

Matthew Stilwill added 11 points and grabbed four rebounds while
Wil Lugar chipped in eight points and grabbed six rebounds.

BCU shot 40% from the field and 29% from downtown in the contest. The Red Raiders were efficient on the offensive side of the floor, shooting 64% from the field and 50% from three.

Northwestern's Jesse Van Kalsbeek scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Jalen Langsley added 18 while recording three steals.

The Chargers move to 12-10 (7-7 GPAC), and will return to action next Wednesday, as they host the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
