Briar Cliff Competes In Minnesota

MARSHALL, Minn. – The Briar Cliff University women's golf team has closed out Day 1 of the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite.

The tournament is being played at Marshall Golf Club, a Par-72.

Augustana (S.D.) shot +9 (297) and leads by four strokes over Northwest Missouri State (301). Tied for third at +14 (302) is Minnesota State Mankato 'A' and 'B' and Sioux Falls is fifth at +15 (303).

Briar Cliff is 12^th at +63 (351).

Individually, Aly Blomberg (Minnesota State Mankato 'B') shot -1 (71) and leads by a stroke over Alexis Barkley (NW Missouri State), Lanie Veenendall (Augustana) and Victoria Woytassek (Minnesota State Mankato 'A').

Freshman Lucy Carter is tied for 41^st at +10 (82).

Senior Kelly Baade is 57^th at +14 (86).

Senior Helene Getz Bergmo is tied for 16^th at +16 (88).

Sophomore Olivia Sorlie is tied for 73^rd at +23 (95).

Sophomore Emma Erickson is 77^th at +26 (98).

Briar Cliff will close out the Mustang Invite, Sunday, Sept. 29.
