The Charger women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against the Lancers of Mount Marty in Yankton, South Dakota Friday evening.
The Cliff spent majority of the match on the attacking side, registering 22 shots with 13 on goal.
The Lancers' goalkeepers were busy at work, as Caitlin Guerra and Brooklyn McNac combined for 12 saves in the contest.
BCU broke the scoreless tie in the 55
th minute, as Leitcia Heeman scored from an assist from
Addison Frisch.
In the 70
th minute, Mount Marty was awarded a penalty kick and converted to notch the contest 1-1.
In the final moments, the Chargers on three chances were unable to convert, as
Manu Polachini and
Lerato Mosia.
Jaime Rowlands in 90 minutes at keeper recorded two saves for the Chargers. Frisch paced the Chargers with four shots in the contest, followed by
Emily Moran's three shots.
The Chargers will open GPAC play next Wednesday, as they travel to Crete, Nebraska to take on the Tigers of Doane. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
