A late foul inside the box allowed for Central Christian to take a 2-1 victory against the Charger men's soccer team on Faber Field Friday afternoon.
The Tigers' Johnny Rodriguez converted on the penalty kick to give them the lead in the 81
st minute.
Central Christian's first goal of the contest came in the 21
st minute, as Marco Cherchi scored off an assist from Joan Muncharaz.
In the 41
st minute, the Chargers found the back of the net, as Antoni Llull Plomar scored from an assist from
Andrew Buchanan.
BCU applied pressure in the attacking side all contest, registering 19 shots with six on goal to the Tigers four shots total. Briar Cliff also held the advantage on corner kicks 11-3.
The Chargers will look open up GPAC play next Wednesday, as they travel to Crete, Nebraska to take on Doane. Kickoff is slated for 7:15 p.m.
