DES MOINES, Iowa – The Briar Cliff University men's outdoor track & field team competed at the Viking Classic. There was a total of 11 Top 10 performances.
Runner-up finishes came from senior Wilton George in the 110-meter hurdles (15.12) and sophomore Muluken Wempe in the triple jump (42 feet, 6.75 inches – PR).
Placing third was freshman Earle Johnson in the 100m dash (11.70) and graduate student Kenny Nolan in the 1500 (4:54.73).
Fourth in the long jump, freshman Daron Jackson with a leap of 22 feet, 5.25 inches. That is the third longest jump in BCU history.
Top 10 finishes were also earned by junior Juan Celio (3000 steeplechase), senior Jalen Cook (400m dash), freshman Ramon Harkins (100m dash), sophomore Brayden Ingraham (long jump), freshman Dante Jones (discus) and junior Caleb Sassman (1500).
Bria rCliff hits the road, Friday-Saturday, May 3-4 to compete at the GPAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship. The meet is in Madison, S.D.
