CHARGERS SEE STRONG PERFORMANCES

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Senior Wilton George and sophomore Muluken Wempe finished among the top seven as The Briar Cliff University men's outdoor track & field team finished Day 1 of the Sioux City Relays. There was a total of seven PR's on the day.

In the triple jump, Wempe jumped 41 feet, 4.25 inches to finish fifth.

In the 200-meter dash, George ran 22.33, which was good for seventh.

In the 110m hurdle pre-lims, George qualified for the final with a 14.98. That was the second fastest qualifying mark.

Briar Cliff closes out the Sioux City Relays, Saturday, Apr. 13. The meet is at crosstown rival, Morningside College.
