The Charger softball team dropped their lone contest Thursday morning, falling to Madonna 19-6 in Tuscon, Arizona.

The Crusaders in the top of the first scored 12 runs in the top of the first.

In the bottom of the fourth,
Kylee Lukes reached base via hit by pitch, followed by
Aubrey Chichurka reaching base on an error to put runners at the corners with no outs.
Kylie Wilhelms recorded a two-RBI single and advanced to second after an error by the crusaders to put the Cliff on the board.

The Chargers carded four runs in the bottom of the fifth after
Karis Gifford scored on a wild pitch followed by a two-RBI single to right field from
Hailey Yon.
Skylar Bainter's RBI-single through the center of the infield capped off the Chargers scoring.

Yon went two-for-three at the plate while Wilhelms went one-for-two with a walk.

The Chargers final contest of their spring break against Waldorf was canceled to due weather. The Cliff moves to 8-7 overall, and will travel to Missouri to play in the Columbia Classic. They will play a doubleheader against Stephens March 14, with game one slated for 4 p.m. with game two following shortly after.
