Wrestling head coach Donaco Watts
"Overall, I'm pretty underwhelmed with our performance against Central Methodist. We were flat and seemed to think we could just ease into matches or that the other guy would just lay down for us. We left a minimum of four winnable matches out there. We will take this as a learning lesson for sure.
Against Grand View, even though the margin was wider, our effort and intensity rose. I wanted to wrestle the #1 team in the country for one reason, compete against the absolute best and see what that level feels like. That goal was definitely achieved tonight. I honestly feel that if we would've wrestled CMU with the same intensity, that dual would've looked much different on the scoreboard."
Briar Cliff stays on the road, Wednesday, Nov. 13 taking on NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State. The dual meet is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
