The Charger women's soccer team bowed out of the opening round of the GPAC tournament, falling to cross-town rival Morningside 2-0 at Elwood Olsen stadium.
Jaime Rowlands was busy in the first half, recording four saves in the first 45 minutes of the match.
In the 65
th minute, the Mustangs broke the scoring tie with a goal from Lisann Evert. The Mustangs added a brace in the 77
th minute to go up 2-0 late in the match.
Emily Moran and
Tia Lisy fired shots late in the contest, but both went wide left.
Lisy and Moran both took two shots in the contest while
Tamzin Hilton and
Leitcia Heemann both took one shot a piece.
Briar Cliff concludes the season with a 7-9-3 (6-3-2 GPAC) mark.
