The Charger men's soccer team fell 2-0 in Orange City, Iowa to the Northwestern Red Raiders.
After a scoreless first half, the Red Raiders Stan van den Beld broke the scoring tie in the 65
th minute. Northwestern added a brace in the 84
th minute courtesy of Alex Ruiz.
The Chargers produced chances early in the match. BCU's
Filip Peters had his shot saved by the Red Raiders keeper in the 5
th minute of the match. Herman Toftevag saw his header in the 13
th minute go wide right.
Hugo Mariage recorded three shots for the Chargers in the contest. Peters also recorded three shots.
Philip Haenel made five saves in 90 minutes at keeper for the Chargers.
The Chargers will travel to Fremont, Nebraska this Saturday to take on the Warriors of Midland. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
