The Charger women's soccer team played to a tie against the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers Wednesday evening in Mitchell, South Dakota. The Chargers sit in third place in the GPAC standings with a 5-3-2 conference record and are one point from second place.

Briar Cliff opened the scoring in the 26
th minute, as
Tamzin Hilton found the back of the net off an assist from
Manu Polachini.

The Tigers looked to answer quickly, firing two shots on goal, but Charger Keeper
Jaime Rowlands turned them away.

DWU scored the equalizer in the 51
st minute to notch the game 1-1.

In the final three minutes, Briar Cliff's
Farrah Thompson and
Tia Lisy fired shots, but were turned away by the Tigers' goalie. Rowlands preserved the tie in the 89
th minute by notching her eighth save of the match.
Briar Cliff will play a non-conference match against the Bruins of Bellevue this Saturday in Bellevue, Nebraska. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m.
