The Briar Cliff cross country teams competed at the Wildcat Classic Friday afternoon in Wayne, Nebraska.

"Today's meet was a tough course at Wayne. Lots of rolling hills with a little bit of wet weather but the team showed some grit and got the race done," said head coach Chandler Cork. "Still a lot of work to do because being satisfied is never an option. Two weeks until our home meet so plenty of time to get better and work on some more hills."

The Charger women were paced by
Lexi Weber who placed 51
st with a time of 28:30.08.
Maria Russell was next with a time of 29:40.65 and Rylee Antonio ran a 31:25.87.
Jalen Pike closed out the BC runners with a time of 33:00.05.

Juan Celio was the top runner for the men's team with a time of 29:30.24 and a 31
st place finish.
Daron Jackson Jr. finished 45
th and ran his 8K in 30:20.60.
Raoul Ramos finished with a time of 31:36.84, while
Kenny Nolan had a 32:32.19.

Connor Antonio ran a 35:15.57 and was followed closely by
Caleb Sassman's 35:15.57.

The Chargers host their home meet on October 7 at the Adams Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, South Dakota.
