The Briar Cliff indoor track and field teams competed in the Mount Marty Last Chance Meet on Saturday afternoon in Yankton, South Dakota. Hope Wagner won the women's shot put and Robert Amaro won the 800m run. Nine individual Chargers finished in the top-three.
 
Dominic Archer qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championships as he hit the NAIA 'B" Standard in the 60m dash with a personal-best time of 6.91. Archer wasn't done for the day as he competed in the 200m dash as well, finishing sixth with a time of 22.80.
 
Hope Wagner dominated the women's shot put, posting a personal-best and hitting the NAIA 'A' Standard for the third consecutive meet. Wagner placed first in the event with a throw of 14.19m (46.56ft). She currently ranks second in the NAIA and first in the GPAC.
 
Robert Amaro was the other Charger to take first place. Amaro beat out the competition in the 800m run with a time of 2:02.24. He also finished second in the 600m run with a time of 1:24.02.

The Briar Cliff 4x400m relay team of Jalen Cook, Joshua Miller, Dominic Archer, and Osiel Ochoa took first in their event with a time of 3:26.81. Cook ran in the 400m dash as well, taking second in the event with a time of 51.01.
 
"We had a great day today", said head coach Scott Barnes. "The highlight was Dominic Archer getting qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championships in the 60m dash with a time of 6.91. Hope Wagner took over the second-place spot in the country in the shot put with a massive throw of 14.19. Rob Amaro and the 4x400m also won their events. We will now get ready for the GPAC meet next week."
 
Amaro was a member of the distance medley relay team which placed second with a time of 11:34.75. The other members of the distance medley relay team include Juan Celio, Carter Matthews, and Kenny Nolan. Nolan placed third individually in the 5000m run with a time of 18:02.64.
 
The distance runners for the women's team placed well as Maria Russel and Rylee Antonino finished second and third in the one mile run with times of 6:21.90 and 6:30.79, respectively. Russell also competed in the 3000m run, taking third with a time of 13:12.54.
 
The Briar Cliff jumpers performed well for both the men and women as Brayden Ingraham took third in the men's long jump while Isabel Sayler snagged third in the women's triple jump. Ingraham jumped a personal-best distance of 6.57m (21.56ft) and Sayler nearly recorded another personal-best with a jump of 10.83m (35.53ft).
