Box Score The Briar Cliff men's basketball team took #9 Jamestown to the wire Saturday but fell short of the upset 69-76 in the Newman Flanagan Center. BC falls to 13-12 (7-11 GPAC) on the season.

Mark Svagera. "Give credit to Jamestown as they made some big shots down the stretch. Were going to be prepared and ready to go on the roads for the last 2 regular season games I'm proud of our 5 seniors for the impact they've had on our program! Those guys are winners on and off the court."
In a back-and-forth first half, the lead changed hands seven times and the score tied six times. The Jimmies built up a seven-point lead with 6:25 left in the half, before Briar Cliff took the lead following a 10-1 run. Jamestown would score the final three points of the half and take a one-point edge into halftime.
The usual sharpshooting Charger offense was off the mark in the first half but found success in the paint scoring 20 of their 29 points in the lane. BC shot 47.4% from the field in the first half, while holding to Jamestown to 34.5% and 4-of-15 from the 3-point line.
Matthew Stilwill scored the first four points of the second half, giving the Charger a three-point lead. However, the Jimmies used a 10-0 to move back in front. The Chargers cut the deficit to as little as three points twice in the final two minutes of play but were unable to complete the upset.
The Blue and Gold shot over 60% from the field in the second half but were matched by the Jimmies who converted 63% of their shot attempts.
Jaden Kleinhesselink had a team high 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting with six rebounds. Stilwill and
Kyle Boerhave each had 14 points. Boerhave totaled eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals.
The Jimmies won the rebounding battle 34-25, while the Chargers had more paint points 40-34.
The Chargers travel to Seward, Nebraska next Wednesday for a meeting with Concordia at 7:45 p.m.
