The RV Charger men's basketball team fell to #19 Morningside Wednesday evening 97-80 in Allee Gym. "I thought we started the game off well, got some good things going offensively," said Head Coach
Mark Svagera. "Unfortunately, we couldn't keep it going, and Morningside does a good job of capitalizing on our mistakes."

The Mustangs in the first took a 14-8 lead early following back-to-back threes from Aidan Vanderloo.
Jamison Helmers responded with two triples of his own to tie the game for the Chargers. Late in the first half, the Mustangs took a 15-point lead following a layup from Ely Doble. BCU trailed 52-35 heading into halftime.

Blake Sindelar started the second half with a layup, but Joey Skoff eight unanswered points for Morningside to extend their lead to 23. The Cliff were unable to make up ground, and fell 97-80.

Jamison Helmers led the Chargers with 23 points and went five-for-nine from beyond the arc and shot 53% from the field.
Matthew Stilwill scored 21 points and collected six rebounds.
Wil Lugar chipped in 11 points and five rebounds, shooting 83% from the field.

The Chargers shot 43% from the field, and 41% from downtown. Morningside won the rebound battle 45-31. Skoff scored a game high 31 points and knocked down seven threes.

The Chargers move to 8-2 (2-1 GPAC) and will return to action Saturday against Mount Marty. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.
