The Briar Cliff women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Morningside Wednesday night at Elwood Olsen Stadium.

The Mustangs lone goal came on a redirect off an attempted clear attempt by the Chargers. The initial Mustang shot was saved by
Jaime Rowlands, and found its way to a Charger, but the clear attempt bounced right off a Mustang and in the goal.

The Chargers were held without a shot through the 90-minute match, while Morningside fired 28 shots with 12 on frame.

Rowlands turned away the other 11 Morningside shots on goal. The Mustangs were awarded nine corner kicks to BCU's 0 in the match.

The Chargers will look to regroup next Wednesday when they host Concordia at Faber Field. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
