Cam Riemer continued his red-hot week at the plate Friday, sending two more home runs over the left field fence at Bishop Mueller Field. The Chargers completed the three-game sweep over Valley City State with a pair of wins.
Riemer went 4-for-7 from the plate with five runs and six RBIs in today's contests.
Rylan Aamold was impressive on the mound in game one, tossing six innings, allowing one earned run while striking out seven.

Game 1 – W, 9-8
After a pair of strikeouts from Aamold to start the first inning, the Vikings sent a solo home run to take a 1-0 lead. Leadoff man
Jared Sitzmann singled to right field, and after stealing second and third, he scored when the Vikings pitcher balked.
Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Riemer sent his first home run over the fence, scoring Sitzmann as the Cliff took a 3-2 edge. BC tacked on three more runs in the sixth. Riemer doubled to score
Easton Cone, and later crossed home plate off a
Jake Allen single.
The Vikings rallied in the top of the seventh with five runs to take a one-run edge. After a double play in the bottom of the inning, pinch hitter
Matthew Delgado singled and advanced to second via error.
Matthew Hmielewski reentered the contest as the runner and would tie the game at 7-7 after two wild pitches to send it to extra innings.
The Chargers again found themselves with their backs against the wall in the bottom of the eighth trailing 7-8. Allen came through for the Cliff with a single to score Riemer and tie it at 8-all. After a

Mike Anthony walked off with a line drive to left field scoring
Jake Chronic.
Riemer went 2-for-4 with 4 RBIs and three runs. Sitzmann tallied two stolen bases while Hmielewski had one.
Alex Kremer took the mound in the eighth inning and earned the win, allowing one hit, one unearned run with one strikeout.
Game 2 – W, 4-0
The Charger pitching staff of

Ryan Riddle and
Brett Sitzmann combined to throw a two-hit shutout with 12 total strikeouts in game two.
Hunt drove in the game winning run in the bottom of the first, scoring Riemer with a single. The Vikings managed to get runners in scoring positions in each of the first three innings, but Kjose shut them down each time.
Riemer tacked on two insurance runs in the third with his second home run of the day to go up 3-0. Quienten Evers added to the lead later in the inning, driving in
Brayden Artzer.
Ryan Riddle came in to pitch in the fourth, making quick work of the inning by retiring the Vikings in 1-2-3 fashion. After walking the leadoff man in the top of the fifth, Riddle closed out the inning with three straight strikeouts.
Brett Sitzmann closed out the series with a scoreless seventh inning, striking out two.
Kjose picks up the win, going 3.0 innings allowing one hit while striking out three. Riddle threw 3.0 innings allowing zero hits and runs while striking out seven.
Riemer tallied two hits, two runs and two RBIs, while Hunt and Evers also recorded RBIs. Evers tallied a double and Anthony drew two walks.
The Chargers will take their current five game win streak up to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota for a four-game series with Presentation next Thursday and Friday. Game one is set to start at 12 p.m.
