It was a well-balanced effort for Briar Cliff women's basketball team Tuesday night as the Chargers defeated Presentation 102-43. The Chargers had four players reach double-digit scoring and 13 players tallied points as they move to 3-1 on the season.

Sudmann led the Cliff in scoring with 19 points while going 8-for-11 from the field with two 3-pointers, four rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals.

Peyton Wingert scored the first bucket for the Cliff seconds after the tip, finishing in the post off the feed from Konnor Sudman. The Chargers started the game on an 8-2 run after a Sudmann steal led to a layup for
Payton Slaughter.

The Chargers never looked back, finishing the first quarter up 21-11 after Slaughter found Sudmann in transition for an and-one.

Briar Cliff began to pull away in the second quarter, as Slaughter extended the lead to 35-14 after going coast to coast off a steal.

The Chargers ended the first half up 50-19. Briar Cliff made 23-36 field goals in the first 20 minutes, good for 63.9%. The BC defense held the Saints to 7-for-30 shooting and gave up only four points in the paint in the first two quarters.

It was all Briar Cliff from there, as the Chargers outscored Presentation 52-24 in the second half.

Slaughter filled up the stat sheet with eight points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and five steals in 22 minutes of action.

Thirteen Chargers scored during the contest, with Sudmann (19), Cadence Davis (14), Wingert (10) and Loryn Kelley (10) all reaching double digit point totals.

Briar Cliff finished shooting 57.3% from the field and knocked down ten triples at a 43.5% clip. The Charger defense limited the Saints to 25.8% shooting from the field and 26.3% from three. The Cliff pressured Presentation to commit 26 turnovers while scoring 26 points off those turnovers.

The Chargers will face Concordia Saturday afternoon in their GPAC opener at 2:00 p.m. in the Newman Flanagan Center
