Briar Cliff men's soccer traveled to Yankton, South Dakota Sunday and beat Mount Marty 3-1. The Chargers improve to 6-5 on the season and are 4-1 in GPAC competition.

Sebastian Justiniano scored the only goal in the opening half, giving the Chargers a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. The Lancers brought the match to a 1-1 tie in the 65th minute with a goal from Sloan Tshilenge.
Luis Paulo Sartor put away the game winning goal just a minute later, beating the Lancer keeper on a penalty shot.
Danny Baca tacked on the third goal for the Cliff in the 89th minute.

Vinicius Ribeiro led the Chargers with three shots and two shots on goal apiece. Baca, Justiniano and
Bernardo Torres also put two shots on frame.
Leandro Faria allowed one goal in his 90 minutes in net for the Blue and Gold.

The Charger defense limited Mount Marty to just two shots on goal, while BC had 12 shots on frame. The Cliff also held the advantage in corner kicks 12-6.

"There are no easy games in the GPAC. This is a good team win for us," said head coach
Clark Charlestin.

Briar Cliff heads to Crete, Nebraska Wednesday for a GPAC matchup against Doane. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. between the Chargers and Tigers.
