The Charger women's volleyball team fell in straight sets (18-25, 13-25, 16-25) to #2 Jamestown Saturday in Jamestown, North Dakota. BC drops to 5-8 on the season and are 0-4 in the GPAC.
"Jamestown did an excellent job of keeping us out of our system today and we were never able to get our hitters scoring," said head coach
Lindsey Weatherford. "I was proud of our team for battling hard in today's match. It gave us many things to work on."
The Blue and Gold were held to a hitting percentage of -.010.
Sami Wasmund led the team with six kills on 16 attempts and hit .250. Jamestown held a .310 hitting percentage and were led by Kalli Hegerle's 10 kills.
Maureen Imrie tallied seven assists and
Madilyn Wagaman added five.
Tannah Heath had a team high 12 digs while
Jo Sadler recorded seven.
Abbey Jones had two service aces and three digs.
Toria Andre and
Taryn Nothem added three kills each.
Jackie Meiklejohn and Megan Gaffaney handled the setting duties for the Jimmies and had 19 and 18 assists, respectively. Ellie Holen had a game high 23 digs and had two service aces.
The Cliff will look to bounce back tomorrow against Valley City State in a non-conference match in Valley City, North Dakota.
