The Charger men soccer team defeated the Dordt Defenders Wednesday afternoon at Faber Field. Briar Cliff improves to 2-0 in GPAC play after the 2-1 win.

The Chargers opened the scoring in the 19
th minute with an unassisted goal by
Bernardo Torres. The Defenders found an equalizer in the 49th minute, finding the back of net off an unassisted goal by Phill Apelt. In the 68
th minute,
Sebastian Justiniano put home the game winning goal, scoring off a cross by
Jacob Harvey.

Leandro Faria made 5 saves in the contest and played all 90 minutes in goal to help the Cliff secure the win.
Jacob Harvey contributed four shots with two on target to go along with his assist.
Gabriel Moretto put all three of shots on goal. Justiniano added three shots on goal in the second half.Â

The Chargers held the advantage in shots 20-8, shots on goal 15-6, and corner kicks 8-2. Dordt's Brandon Hansen made 12 saves in net during the contest. Quintin Olson put two shots on frame while Ethan Knott and Nolan Regan each added one shot on goal.

The Cliff improves to 4-4 overall and will take on Northwestern Saturday Night at 7:30PM in Orange City, Iowa.
