BC men's soccer was handed its first shutout of the season Saturday at Graceland. Despite evenly divided stats between the teams, Graceland won 3-0 in Lamoni, Iowa.
The Chargers outshot the Yellowjackets 10-8 and had an 8-7 advantage in shots on goal. The sides had two corner kicks each.Â

Graceland took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute, the only score of the first half. The home team came out of halftime and doubled its lead with a goal 12 minutes into the period. The final goal of the contest was a late one, going on the board with just four minutes remaining.
Danny Baca led the Chargers with three shots, all on frame. Coy Leytham made four saves in his 90 minutes in net.Â
The Chargers will return to Faber Field Wednesday for a GPAC match against Dordt. Kickoff against the Defenders is set for 1 p.m.
