A home run by
Dawson Forcella was the only run the Briar Cliff baseball team was able to put on the scoreboard at Midland Saturday, losing 12-0 and 3-1 to the Warriors in Fremont, Nebraska.
In total, the Chargers stranded 13 runners across the two games and totaled 10 hits.
Game two was deadlocked a 1-1 through seven innings, but Midland put up a pair of scores in the bottom of the eighth and held the Cliff scoreless in the ninth for the win and the sweep.
Forcella went 3-for-4 in game two to go with his solo home run.

Cyler Melvin tallied one hit each. Midland pitchers Brendon Jones and Matt Abdelnour combined for 14 strikeouts in game two.

Connor Lange managed hits in game one.

Tyler Kjose (game two) take the losses on the mound.
BC moves to 22-9 on the season and 6-6 in GPAC competition. The Chargers will hit the road Wednesday for a nonconference doubleheader at Peru State.
