Briar Cliff wrestling put on a dominating performance Tuesday evening defeating Central Methodist 54-6 in the Newman Flanagan Center. Each match was decided by a fall with the Chargers getting six pins to the Eagles one.
The dual saw three open weight classes on the Central Methodist team at the 125, 133 and 285-pound weight classes.
The dual started at 141-lb, after back-to-back open weight classes from Central Methodist.
Ethan Krey took the mat first for the Cliff at 141-lbs and won by fall in the first round over Zach Godar. #14 ranked
Ben Peters faced off against Dylan Washburn at 149-lbs, and was the longest match of the night, with Peters earning the pin in the third round.
Felix Saunders and
Garrett Arment won by fall at 157-lbs and 165 lbs, respectively. At 184-lbs and 197-lbs #18 ranked
Jeremiah Glise and #17 ranked
Caleb Shanks made quick work of their opponents with first round pins each.
The Eagles Rashar Locklear won by fall over
Nathan Atwood at 134-lbs.
