The Briar Cliff golf teams competed in the final round of the Northwest Iowa Collegiate Showcase Tuesday in Spencer, Iowa.
Molly Diekmann paced the women's team to a second place finish, while the men placed fifth.
"Wasn't quite the finish we wanted to end one of our best seasons in history, but we continued to show flashes of good play," said head coach
Ben Irlbeck. "I am proud of the team for the good season they've had. Ladies end the season averaging in the 330s, which places them in the top three for overall scoring-average seasons."

"Men have had the best season to record, averaging approximately 295 and setting all kinds of team and individual scoring records," said Irlbeck. "It will be a fall for the record books. The team worked hard for it."
