Spetlar Tonga is in his eighth year as an assistant coach with the Charger football program.  Tonga was a defensive leader and two-time all-star for the Sioux City Bandits of the United Indoor Football League for five years prior to playing in Lincoln, Neb., this past season.  For his efforts, he earned second team all-IFL honors.  In 59 career games with the Bandits, Tonga totaled 283 tackles.  Prior to playing with the Bandits, Tonga played at Morningside from 2001 until 2003.  Tonga and his wife, Sheena, reside in Sioux City.
