Briar Cliff University

Jack Moehrke was named head coach of the Esports team in September of 2021. 

Moehrke brings extensive experience in esports coaching and operations. He began his coaching career as a volunteer League of Legends coach at Marian University in 2019 before serving as the owner and League of Legends coach for Meme City Esports from 2019–2022. During that time, he oversaw amateur rosters competing in Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant, and CS:GO, including a Tier 2 League of Legends roster that competed in the NACL Open Qualifiers.

As a player, Moehrke competed in the amateur and semi-professional esports scene from 2016–2019, including a stint with Dawn Esports in the Scouting Grounds Open Circuit.

A native of Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota, Moehrke earned a bachelor’s degree in interactive media with a minor in sports management from the University of Wisconsin–Superior and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in sports management and leadership at Briar Cliff University.
