Fae Seil, a native of Rochester, Minnesota, enters her eighth season at Briar Cliff.  Prior to that, she spent three years coaching in Rochester, leading her teams to a combined record of 54-6. Prior to her coaching career in Rochester, she served as an assistant coach at Dubuque Senior High School in Dubuque, Iowa for three years.

Seil was a four-year defensive starter and team captain for the Duhawks of Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. In her first year with the Duhawks, she helped guide the team to 18-5 record as well as an Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship as well as a birth into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. She earned first team all-conference and Midwest All-Region honors. Over the next three years, the Duhawks registered three NCAA Division III Tournament berths, making it as far as the sweet sixteen in 2003, a national ranking of 22nd and a combined record of 56-8-3.

Seil garnered first team all-conference and all-region as well as academic all-conference and academic all-region honors. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical education teacher education from Loras in 2005. She received a Masters of Education degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., in May of 2009 in athletic and activities administration.

In 2007, Seil attained her USSF National D License. She has directed numerous camps and clinics as well as Coerver Coaching Technical Development Training in Rochester with Rochester Youth Soccer Association. She has also coached numerous youth teams over the years. Fae and her husband, Cody, reside in Sioux City along with their children, Cole and Connor.
