2020 is Kyle Cox's second season as an assistant coach with the Charger women's volleyball program. Prior to joining the staff in 2019, he spent five years as a volunteer assistant coach and practice player for the women's team at Colorado State University under Tom Hilbert.

Cox has also had success as a club coach in the Northern Colorado Area within the USAV and Rocky Mountain Region. At Rocky Select Volleyball Club, he coached his team to win tournaments like the RMR Showdown, Power League Tournaments and had Gold Bracket finishes all over the country.
