Emma Sterkel joins the Briar Cliff University coaching staff as a graduate assistant after playing her final year of collegiate basketball for the Chargers during the 2021-22 season.Â

As a graduate transfer last year, Sterkel played in all 30 games for the Chargers averaging 4.8 points per game. She also made 29 3-pointers on 38.7% shooting, which was the fourth highest percentage on the team.

Sterkel transferred to Briar Cliff University after earning her bachelor’s degree from NCAA D2 Regis University. During her time with the Rangers, Sterkel made the 2018-19 RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll and was a 4-year letter winner. She also knocked down 121 3-point field goals over her playing career which puts 15th all-time in their career rankings.
