Biography
2016 Outdoor: Competed in three events for BCU...ran a personal-best 800 meter time of 2:04.17 at the Sioux City Relays...completed a season-best 1500 meter time of 4:24.22 at the Kip Janvrin Open...was part of the Charger 4x800 relay team that finished second at the Dordt Invitational with a team time of 8:35.69 and finished sixth at the Red Raider Open with a time of 8:18.50.
2016 Indoor: Participated in two events...earned a personal-best 1000 meter time of 2:40.36 at the SDSU Indoor Classic...ran a season-best mile time of 4:45.46 at the SDSU Indoor Classic...named academic All-GPAC.
2015 Outdoor: Participated in the 1500 and 5000 meter runs and the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays during the outdoor season for Briar Cliff...best time in the 1500 was 4:26.11 at the Wildcat Classic and turned in a 16:58.10 in the 5000 at the Red Raider Open...helped the 4x8 team finish fourth at the Dordt Invite with a team time of 9:12.72.
2015 Indoor: Competed in the 1000 meter run, one mile run, 4x400 meter relay and 4x800 meter relay during the indoor season...finished third in the 4x800 meter relay at the Dennis Young Classic with a team time of 9:18.23...ran a 2:50.24 in the 1000 at the Chelsey Henkenius Open to finish 10th in the event.
HS: Seven-time letter winner for the Gaels with three in cross country and four in track. McEvoy's success in high school was primarily in cross country as he was part of a team that made the state meet three straight years from 2012-14. During his senior season, McEvoy was named all-conference and placed 26th at the state meet with a time of 17:18.3 while the team finished 13th in the Class 2A meet. His individual finish got better every year as he was 32nd as a junior with a time of 17:10 and was 43rd during his sophomore campaign with a time of 18:00. McEvoy was part of two top-five teams at the state meet however though as the team finished third in the Class 1A meet during his sophomore year and was fifth at the Class 2A meet in his junior season.
Personal: Casey is the son of Brian and Joanne McEvoy and intends to major in biology at BCU. Both of his parents are graduates of Briar Cliff and his mother played softball for the Chargers.
