Bryan Forbes returned to the Cliff in a coaching capacity in July of 2019.
In his first season as Coach Svagera's top assistant, the Cliff went 16-14 overall and 7-13 in GPAC play.
After his graduation from Briar Cliff in 2017, Forbes spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at East Tennessee State University under head coach Steve Forbes, who is now the head coach at Wake Forest.
Forbes was a four-year starter as a student-athlete at the Cliff, earning All-American honors twice and was a part of three national tournament teams. He finished his career as the program's all-time leader in games played and in the top 10 all-time in scoring and rebounding. The program went 96-38 during his four years and won back-to-back conference titles in his last two seasons at the school.
Forbes holds a master's degree in sports management from ETSU.
