Riha was a nine-time letterwinner for the Cougars of Daniel J. Gross Catholic High School with four letters in softball, three in tennis and two in basketball. As a junior, Riha was named academic all-conference in softball, basketball and tennis and was academic all-state in tennis. She was also academic all-conference in softball, basketball and tennis as a sophomore. Riha was a utility player, playing third base, shortstop, second base and catcher.
