The Charger men's soccer team fell 6-0 to the Bellevue University Bruins Friday evening in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Bellevue jumped out to an early lead, scoring just 46 seconds into the match. The Bruins added another goal in the 17th minute to take a 2-0 advantage into halftime.Â
The Bruins continued their offensive pressure in the second half, scoring four times. Bellevue added goals in the 54th, 58th, 72nd and 78th minutes to secure the 6-0 victory.Â
Taylor Pinx recorded seven saves in goal for the Chargers, while
Ignacio Barrios,
Mario Granjo,
Oscar Seliger, and
Alejandro Illan each recorded shots on target. Illan led BCU with two shots.Â
Briar Cliff finished with seven shots and with four on goal, while Bellevue recorded 22 shots with 13 on target.Â
The Chargers fall return to action Tuesday September 15, traveling to Elgin, Illinois to take on Judson University. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.Â
