The Briar Cliff men's soccer team was tabbed fifth in the GPAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference announced Monday morning.
The Chargers finished last season with an 8-8-3 overall record and a 4-4-2 mark in GPAC play, advancing to the semifinal round of the GPAC Tournament.
Concordia was selected as the preseason favorite, followed by Northwestern and Morningside.
Briar Cliff returns senior defender Axel Bjerke, who logged 1,193 minutes last season. Angjelos Arapi also returns after appearing in 16 matches with 11 starts and totaling 987 minutes.
The Chargers open the 2026 season Saturday with a road matchup against Kansas Wesleyan. Briar Cliff will begin GPAC play on Sept. 19, hosting Hastings at Faber Field.
