The Charger baseball team bowed out of the GPAC Conference Tournament Thursday, falling to Hastings 7-0 and Doane 11-4.

Game one vs Hastings – L, 7-0

Hastings used a fast start to take control early, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding five more in the second to secure a 7-0 shutout over the Chargers.
Briar Cliff was limited offensively, tallying four hits in the contest.
Cael Walrod,
Cade Marquardt,
Damon Schmid and
Jake Bussom each recorded a hit, with Bussom's double marking the lone extra-base hit of the game.
Brock Saya took the loss on the mound, throwing seven innings and allowing seven runs (six earned) while striking out four.
Logan Kraegel added a scoreless inning in relief.
Hastings' Markus Miller went the distance, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just four hits and striking out six.

Game two vs Doane – L, 11-4
Â
In game two, Doane built a steady lead before breaking the game open late to defeat BC 11-4.
The Tigers scored in six of the first seven innings and pulled away with a five-run eighth inning to extend their advantage.
Briar Cliff finished with nine hits in the contest.
Nico Sall highlighted the offensive effort with a solo home run, while
Connor Neubeck delivered a two-RBI single in the fifth inning to get the Chargers on the board.
Raenan Padilla added a double and scored twice, and
Grant Devecsery collected two hits in the loss.
Brett Sitzmann was charged with the loss, allowing four runs (two earned) over five innings of work.
Johnny Reed surrendered seven runs in relief.
Doane's Gabe Rodriguez earned the win, with Ethan Merk picking up the save.
The Charger conclude the season with a 26-23 (18-9 GPAC) mark.
