The Briar Cliff golf teams turned in solid performances at the Waterloo Intercollegiate on Friday, highlighted by a runner-up finish from the women's team.
The Charger women placed second overall, finishing just one stroke off the lead. Isabella McNaughton led the way, tying for first place individually with a +7 round. Lucy Carter added another top-five finish, tying for fourth at +9.
Avery Beller placed 11th with a +13, while Olivia Sorlie tied for 12th after carding a +14.
On the men's side, Briar Cliff finished fifth overall with a team score of +22. Jack Bloom paced the Chargers, tying for 11th with a +4. Thavichakree Arunmala and Oliver Kardos each tied for 13th, both finishing at +5.
The men's team will return to action at the GPAC Men's Championship, scheduled for April 20–21 at Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. The women's team will compete in the GPAC Women's Championship April 27–28.
