Blake Sindelar of the Charger men's basketball team was named Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Athlete of the Week for his performances last week. Sindelar last week averaged 30.5 points per game and 8.5 assists while shooting 55.6% from the floor.
 
Sindelar, a senior from Howells, Nebraska, scored a game high 35 points while recording seven assists and five rebounds against Northwestern. He went 12-for-19 from the floor and five-for-10 from three-point land.
 
Against Midland, he posted a triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Sindelar went eight-for-17 from the floor and 10-for-15 from the free throw line.
 
The Chargers will return to action this Wednesday, as they take on the Dordt Defenders in Sioux Center, Iowa. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
