The Charger men's basketball team dropped their regular season finale to the Morningside Mustangs 87-67 in Sioux City, Iowa Saturday afternoon.

Both teams traded baskets back-and-forth in the early goings of the contest. Late in the first half, the Mustangs went on a 11-2 run to gain a 35-27 advantage late in the half. Morningside extended their lead to 14 with little over three minutes in the half.

Blake Sindelar in the first half led The Cliff in scoring with 10 points and knocked down a pair of threes.
Wil Lugar had nine points, six rebounds, and three assists.
Jaxson Wingert scored seven points and shot three-for-five in the half.

Wingert paced the Chargers with 19 points and shot eight-for-14 from the floor and collected five rebounds. Sindelar finished with 17 points, four rebounds, one block and one steal. Lugar finished with 13 points and recorded two steals.
Dawson Mohr off the bench added eight points and knocked down two threes in the contest.

The Chargers conclude the regular season at 13-14 (10-10 GPAC) and will enter the GPAC Tournament as the sixth seed and travel to Yankton, South Dakota to take on the third seed Mount Marty Lancers on Wednesday Feburary 25. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
