The Charger men's basketball team defeated the visiting Midland Warriors 76-63 inside the Newman Flanagan Center Wednesday evening.

The Chargers overcame a slow offensive first half, only converting on 37% of their attempts in the first half. The Chargers trailed the Warriors 31-28 heading into the break.

Midway through the second half, the Chargers took a 53-45 lead following a 8-0 run capped off by a basket from
Ryan Kleppe. A dunk from Lugar extended the Charger lead to 66-56 with 3:24 remaining in the contest. A pair of free throws from
Colby Collison.

Blake Sindlear led all scorers in the contest, scoring 22 points while shooting six-for-eight from the floor and eight-for-11 from the charity stripe. Kleppe finished with 14 points and three steals while shooting six-for-nine from the floor.

Jaxson Wingert chipped in 11 points while
Joshua Stevenson added 10 points.
The Cliff held the Warriors to 37.1% shooting from the field and 19% from beyond-the-arc. BCU scored 38 points in the paint.

Briar Cliff improved to 9-7 (6-3 GPAC) and will travel to Seward, Nebraska this Saturday to take on the Concordia Bulldogs. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.
