The Charger women's soccer team dropped their season opener against the Mount Mercy Mustangs 2-1 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

th minute to take an early 1-0 lead.

In the second half the Chargers opened the half with two chances but were unable to find the back of the net. In the 84

Sierra Brooks scored to cut the lead within one.

Caitlin Anderholm played all 90 minutes in goal for the Chargers and made two saves.
Ondine Manceau,
Farrah Thompson, Emma Bolmberg, and
Therese Molin all recorded a shot in the contest.

The Chargers look to rebound next Wednesday, as the travel to Olathe, Kansas to take on MidAmerica Nazarene. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m.
