The Briar Cliff men's soccer team's postseason run came to an end Friday afternoon with a 3-2 loss to Concordia University.

th minute when Ricards Busmeisters found the back of the net off an assist from Oliver Benson. The Chargers answered late in the first half as
Finlay Skilling scored an unassisted goal from the 35-yard mark to even the match at 1-1 heading into halftimeÂ

After the break, the Bulldogs regained the lead on a Cleme Suarez goal in the 59
th minute, but Briar Cliff responded quickly. Just two minutes later,
David Sauter converted a pass from
Giuseppe Marrix to knot the score at 2-2.

The match remained tight until the 83
rd minute when Busmeisters converted a penalty kick to give Concordia the final 3-2 advantage.

Briar Cliff finished with a 14-13 edge in total shots, including 11 in the second half. Defender
Alex Johnson led the team with four shots, including two on goal.Â
